Hellen Grundy
I’m a Norwegian-British artist and educator living by the sea, creating geometric art and design inspired by the coastline and Norwegian fjords. My work explores colour, balance, light, and quiet geometry, and I share this creative learning through both my studio practice and teaching.
Where the ideas come from
Norway shapes how I see. The long horizons, shifting light and changing seasons around the coast have become an important part of my visual language.
The sea sets my palette. I draw on the greys and blues of the water, the muted colours of the landscape, and the warmth that appears when the light changes. I’m also influenced by the quiet geometry of the natural world and the structures of everyday life.

These ideas are reduced, balanced and reworked in the studio until they become something calm, clear and quietly expressive. I’m interested in how the work then changes again when it is placed in a real space and becomes part of someone’s everyday life.
How a print is made
Every piece starts on paper with a pencil. Even a scribble counts. To me, it’s a design being born.
Then I move to the computer. I build the colour palette and grow the idea. I add the final touches, and the file goes to print.
The Precision Collection is printed on Arches 88 paper using the giclée method, at a fine art printer in Stavanger. The same printmaker frames each piece and authenticates the artwork and the paper. I sign and number every print myself, and each one is issued with a certificate of authentication.
I chose my partners for their proven record in production, quality, and customer service. I inspect every piece before it leaves for you.

I make limited-edition fine-art prints. Each piece is numbered and signed by me, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Because each edition is finite, every print is reproduced only a limited number of times. I use high-quality archival materials and the giclée printing technique to create artwork made to stay on your wall for generations.

Produced locally in collaboration with Fineartprint.no, each limited-edition print is made using high-quality archival materials and the giclée printing technique. Every piece is numbered, signed and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
Norway and its culture are part of how I work: quietly, thoughtfully and with attention to lasting quality. Inspired by the North, produced locally and available to collectors internationally.

I teach the principles behind visual perception — how the brain reads colour, shape, balance and hierarchy — and how these ideas can support both creative work and thoughtful use of AI.
Taught in person in small groups, the courses are practical, curious and designed to change how you see and make.
